Man, I didn't realize the hail was that big. It's amazing that any plant could survive being hit by one of those. Great post and photos.

Shauna: You write so beautifully! I am sorry the hail hit you so hard. I've heard about it, but it didn't hit Mom and Dad's home. We had a bunch of hail storms in Colorado last June. We were grateful that the garden survived (and that we were quick with the tarps). It's all just around the corner again.

Thanks for sharing your story and photos.

Stephen -- Thank you! I'm working on an update with photos -- Seven Days Later -- what a difference a week makes!

Alyson -- Thank you so much for your kind words! Hope you guys make it thru the storm season with all intact. BTW -- the hail in this storm came with such force and was so large it tore right through our tarps!

oh my.. i've never seen hail like that before! it looks like your beautiful garden has taken quite some damage. my prayers go out to you and i hope that your babies recover soon! :)

Thank you Cathy! My garden is recovering nicely. I hope to post more pics soon showing how it's doing. Nature is amazingly regenerative!

You will never know that it might rain anytime again after the hailstorm, right? Plants, in like manner, being regenerative is not something they are capable of, but rather, is something they really have. Our earth is teeming with life because of them. Thus, resiliency is innate!
