My big fat list of recommended books on emergency planning, self-sufficiency, resiliency, gardening, urban farming, eating local and food systems -- by no means comprehensive.
Our the past few years, our family has committed to building a practical personal library for uncertain times. Reading these books is a source of hope and comfort to me and scarcely a day goes by that we are not using one of these books as a reference. We continue to add to our library and I'll update this list we do.
I started to separate this list into categories, but since there’s a great deal of overlap, I left the list as is for now. For example, John Seymour’s book, “The Self-Sufficient Life,” could apply to multiple categories.
Happy reading!
